Jemma completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and Bachelor of Business at LaTrobe University, before starting her career at the Birchip Cropping Group, a grower-led organisation based in the southern Mallee of Victoria. Jemma managed the Seasonal Climate Forecasting Community of Practice and has worked on a number of Managing Climate Variability projects, including the reboot of the Climate Kelpie website. She also played a key role in the setting up of an extensive weather station and soil moisture probe network across the Wimmera and Mallee. Since joining Agriculture Victoria early in 2019, Jemma’s expertise has contributed to climate change, seasonal climate, soil moisture and biosecurity projects.
