Jane Court works with the Meat and Wool team in Agriculture Victoria based in Bendigo. She has worked mainly in livestock extension over her time with the department, based out of Bairnsdale, Seymour and currently Epsom offices.  Jane is interested in seeing how livestock farmers can use the information from soil moisture probes and to predict and plan for seasonal conditions earlier. Three of the pasture soil moisture monitor sites are involved in an Enhanced Producer Demonstration Site (funded by Agriculture Victoria and Meat and Livestock Australia) which is looking to see how well the real soil moisture and pasture models can predict spring pasture growth.
