Mark Lobo is a Senior Investment Manager in the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions. Mark has responsibility for engagement with food and fibre companies and supporting their business plans for growth, coordinating across the breadth of possible Government assistance. Mark has over 15 years’ experience in an investment role in the Victorian Government focusing on Foreign Direct Investment, and more recently dedicated to meeting the needs of the food industry across the supply chain and innovation ecosystem. He and his team work closely alongside intermediaries like Melbourne’s North’s Food Group, Universities like La Trobe and RMIT, and collaborate with agencies such as Austrade and Invest Victoria.
Prior to joining the Victorian Government, Mark had a career in investment banking and has worked in advisory roles in companies like Rabobank, ICICI and JP Morgan.
Mark holds an Executive Master in Public Administration from ANZSOG (University of Melbourne) and an MBA from Xavier School of Management (a top-5 management institute in India).
