Victorian Transmission Plan drop-in sessions and workshops

When: May 14 - June 12
Organiser: VicGrid

VicGrid is changing the way energy infrastructure is delivered in Victoria. They are putting in place a long-term strategic plan – the Victorian Transmission Plan – to ensure we have the right infrastructure in the right place at the right time to support the energy transition.

At the core of the Victorian Transmission Plan is early engagement with landholders, local communities and First Peoples to minimise impacts and make the most of regional development opportunities.

The final Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Community Benefits Plan will establish how the Victorian Government will allocate funds from transmission companies and energy project developers, to deliver lasting benefits to landholders, communities and First Peoples.

Join them in May and June 2024 at a community workshop near you to learn about VicGrid’s approach to community benefits. Let them know the benefits you’d like to see for regions which may host new renewable energy infrastructure.

They will also share the results of the recent Renewable Energy Planning Survey, and discuss how this will help them plan where to build and host renewable energy transmission, generation and storage projects.
