Cane toads are increasingly being reported and captured in the Hunter Region. Confirmed sightings include Harrington, Medowie, Wallsend, Warners Bay, Swansea and Muswellbrook – a direct result of stowaways via transportation trucks, cars and caravans.
To ensure that we prevent cane toads from establishing and protect our native fauna Hunter Local Land Services are running six workshops in February 2021.
