Event Navigation
This will be the second webinar in the Agriculture Victoria Irrigation Webinar Series. This webinar will present future projections for the southern Murray Darling Basin water market.
You will get the low-down on key drivers of the water market and their potential impact on future water prices. Climate patterns, the Commonwealth irrigation water buyback, inter-valley trade limits and changing land and water use in the connected Basin, are all water market drivers that will be explored. This information will help irrigators better prepare their farm businesses for the future.
Our speakers will be Chris Olszak and Erin Smith. Chris is Director and Co-founder of Aither and Erin is a Principal Consultant with Aither. Chris and Erin have recently produced a report “Southern Murray Darling Basin water market – recent and future trends and drivers”, for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning. Findings from this report will be discussed in the webinar.
