Above: Save the date reminder for Australian Women in Agriculture conference
Want to feel inspired to be the best you can be? Join fellow rural and regional women at the Australian Women in Agriculture (AWiA) conference in Shepparton from August 17 to 19.
AWiA is heading back to its roots to celebrate 25 years with the conference theme, ‘Looking Back, Looking Forward’. Conference sessions will celebrate the past, present and future of AWiA and Australian agriculture.
The conference kicks off at 3pm on Friday 17 August with a general meeting and presentation from the Invisible Farmer project team, followed by a cocktail event at Shepparton Motor Museum. Formal conference proceedings will be held at the Eastbank Centre on Saturday 18 August and include sessions to stir nostalgia, learn from leaders and look ahead to the future.
A gala dinner takes place at Olive House — a beautiful local family farming business — on Saturday night followed by the group’s Annual General Meeting at Shepparton RSL and ‘past, present and future-themed’ tours of the region. Tickets on sale soon, so keep an eye on social media @AustWomeninAg or at the AWiA website.
