This year has presented many financial pressures for people across the state, who may be unaware of available support or effective ways to cut the cost of their energy bills.

The Victorian Government has launched three programs in partnership with community organisations to help households manage their energy bills. Free online and over-the-phone support is available for all Victorians to access from home.

Find out what support and advice you can get through:

  • Energy Simplified webinars – free webinars to help households take control of their energy bills. Go to: org.au/webinars
  • Energy Assistance – free one-on-one bill support and tailored energy assistance with an energy advisor to help save money on your energy bills. Visit: org.au/services/energy-assistance/energy-assistance-and-brokerage/ or call 1800 830 029
  • Financial Counselling – Financial counsellors are available to provide free, independent and confidential phone or face-to-face counselling sessions to support people experiencing financial difficulty, including managing energy bills. Go to moneysmart.gov.au/ or call 1800 007 007.
