If you find an unusual plant pest or disease the national Exotic Plant Pest hotline (1800 084 881) is the number to call.

When you call the hotline you can select the state or territory you are in. You will be connected to an experienced person in the relevant authority for that jurisdiction.

During your call they may ask you:

• What did you see? (As well as describing what you saw it’s helpful if you have a photo you can send through.)
• When did you first notice it?
• Where did you find it and what was it on?
• How many were there or how infected was the plant?
• How widely spread is it?

Every report to the hotline will be taken seriously, checked out and treated confidential.
