Alison Mathews

Alison Mathews is a Development Officer with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) in Western Australia, based at Manjimup. Alison has over 8 years of experience in horticultural research and extension. Alison has experience developing resistance management strategies through her involvement with research and development of vegetable crops including management of diamondback moth. She produced the Good Practice Guide for south west vegetable growers and coordinated supporting on-farm demonstrations with field walks and workshops to extend information within the guide. Alison is currently working alongside Stewart Learmonth as part of succession planning to ensure continuing entomological expertise within DPIRD to support horticultural industries in south west Western Australia.
