Marcel Veens
Marcel Veens was born in Herveld, the Netherlands into a family of third generation orchardists. Eight of his nine brothers are fruitgrowers. He has worked in fruit production in several countries around the world including New Zealand, France, Thailand, and of course the Netherlands.
Marcel came to Australia in 1991 and has been general manager and director of Ch. Fueglister (Australia) Pty. Ltd. (1991-2005) The company had 2 farms in South East Queensland that produced apples, pears, peaches, nectarines and lychees.
Since 2005 Marcel has run Marcel Veens Horticulture Adviser Pty. Ltd. providing technical and managerial support on all aspects of pomefruit, stonefruit and cherry cultivation.
