Wondering when the Lake Bolac Probe will come back online?

Hi Thomas, thanks for the inquiry on the Lk Bolac probe.
Over the past 12 months, there have been other probes sites that have suffered a similar issue, where after 12 years, some moisture has got into the cable join of the probe as we attempted to position the probe as far out from the fence line as possible, and some corrision has occurred and broken the data connection from the paddock. One of the real strengths of the network, is the number of seasons that valuable soil moisture data has been collected in varying rainfall seasons (dry average and the wet) but that has also put wear and tear on the equipment.
Most sites have been repaired, but one site has proven troublesome at Youanmite which has had 3 site visits and still yet to be retified.
As yet I have not been able to get down to Bolac and identify exactly where the issue is and solutions for it but it is hoped that it will happen in the near future. Until this happens, l have had to switch off access to the site from this dashboard, as the -950 fault value generated from the broken cable, will be shown as the total sensor value.
