Hi, I’m Nathan Bicknell, FRDC Extension Officer for South Australia.

I have 20+ years of experience in fisheries management and marine science, working with government, industry, and non-government groups. I’ve spent time on fishing vessels, including in the Northern Prawn and South Australian prawn trawl fisheries, testing bycatch reduction devices and new technologies. Now, at FRDC I focus on integrating extension practices into project design to ensure research delivers real benefits to the industry.
