Transcript: Tips for applying for the Young Farmer and New Entrant Mentoring Program

Three key questions and tips for filling out the Expression of Interest form.

Question 1: How would being paired with a mentor help you achieve your business goals?

For this question think about what aspect of your business you need help with and how having a mentor would help you?

Question 2: How would developing new networks help you with your career in agriculture?

In the mentoring program you will be meeting new people and expanding your networks. How would this be helpful to your business? Tell us how that would be useful for you?

Question 3: When have you taken learning and made a change to your farm business?

We want to know that when you are in the mentoring program that you will be to take on new ideas. Think about a time when you have been to a workshop, a field day, or learnt something new and applied it to your farm business or operation. Explain what happened.

Keep answers short, no long-winded answers! A short paragraph will be sufficient and dot points would be useful.

We want to hear about you to help us choose our mentees!

Applications must be submitted by Midnight Sunday 31 October 2021.
