Ros Gloag

Ros Gloag is a lecturer in evolutionary biology at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, the University of Sydney. She researches the behaviour and genetics of birds and bees. Ros has performed studies of the population size of the invasive Asian bee Apis cerana in far-north Queensland, and how worker reproduction has enabled the population to thrive despite likely originating from a single swarm. Ros is also helping to develop native stingless bees for pollination.
