Nadine Chapman

Nadine Chapman is a bee researcher at the University of Sydney. Nadine’s research is primarily industry focused. Recent projects include determining if queens produced in early spring and autumn have mated with enough males, developing a trap to aid in queen replacement and creating a genetic test to prevent Africanized killer bees from being imported.

Nadine and Ben Oldroyd will be partnering with Liz Frost at NSW Department of Primary Industries, Robert Banks at the Animal Breeding and Genetics Unit at University of New England and Fiona Chambers at the Wheen Bee Foundation to develop a genetic improvement program for honey bees, aimed at increasing honey production, pollination and bee health.
